Bandana Dreams - The Job Tate story

This would be the song for the part of the film dealing with Job's years as a lady's man at the HC.

I really like this song and video, and if you do too, there are a couple of other videos by Noah and the Whales that are worth looking up on Youtube.

Pool Fun!!

Lucy had a princess attitude when it came to using this tube.
Cranky little man!

A tree frog hung at the pool with us.
Reba (my sister) and Grace having fun at the pool.

Albany, NY

I took the kids to the Empire Plaza. The building behind them is called The EGG. My high school graduation was at the EGG . . . a long time ago.
This is also at the Plaza and the building behind them is one of the state buildings.
We visited the New York State Museum. A Wooly Mammoth stands behind Lucy.
I believe this is called a white island whale . . . I can't quite remember.

A Visit with the Forster Women

We visited my great-grandmother on Monday (the reason for our trip). She is currenly in a nursing home. Grace brought her violin and played for my grandmother. My grandmother than had her go to various lounge areas and play for anyone who would listen.

Grandma Forster (my Mom) with the girls.

It's time we did something

I trust that after you've viewed this moving public service announcement you will add your strenuous efforts to mine. Together we can eradicate wild chervil.

O Come Little Children

It has taken me awhile to download this video. This is Grace T. and Grace A. playing O'Come Little Children.

Father's Day & 12th Wedding Anniversary

The Rec is our favorite place to go this summer. We swim, play, hike, relax . . . it's great!

Obadiah is dumping sand in Elisabeth's moat. She is not a happy camp
We hiked up behind the Elliott's house today before we swam at the Rec. We were hoping to find wild strawberries but they weren't ripe yet. It ended up being a difficult hike for Lucy & Grace and for Joel who ended up carrying Lucy while having Obie on his back.
We are incapable of taking a normal picture.

We came out to the cow field across from the Elliott's. It is so green and beautiful!

Summer Days

There he goes! Where is he going? He doesn't even know.
The Prophets: Obadiah & Isaiah, friends since conception (they are 7 weeks apart). Isaiah looks very pleased with himself while Obie looks unsure about things.

Grace loves flowers.
I like his facial expressions in these pictures.

Obadiah climbed in the swing himself and Isaiah buckled him in and then proceded to push. It was a very cute moment.

Lucy's New Look

This week Obadiah hit Lucy in the eye with a stick and tore a portion of her cornea in her right eye. She is fine now that we are treating it but while she heals she needs to keep out of direct sunlight . . . thus the hat and sunglasses.

Grace's Piano Recital

Elisabeth P., Sarah P. (friends from church), Elisabeth T.
Obadiah was quite bored with the whole affair.
Grace and her violin teacher, Mrs. Luzader.
Grace enjoying the refreshments. The recital is finally redeeming itself for Obadiah. Lucy insisted on raising her hand for this picture.
Lucy & Grace.
Sarah, a friend from church who also played in the recital.Ladies in waiting . . . Grace, Sarah, Elisabeth P., Paige, Grace A., Hannah (all girls who attend our church. Elisabeth T. is in the background.
We were trying to take a cool picture here . . . it did not come out like I had hoped.
Hannah played "The Twinkle Variations."
Sarah played something that was quite difficult with great ease. She was incredible.
Paige and Patti.

Grace played "Go Tell Aunt Rhody", a traditional folk song.
