Arts & Crafts with Christine

I received this book last year from John for Christmas. I read through it and was planning on creating these charming softy friends immediately but life got in the way. I put the book on the shelf with other craft books.
This month, when thinking of Christmas, I remembered the Sock and Glove book. I took it off the shelf, blew off the dust, and went to work. I invaded all the dressers in the house and collected various socks, gloves and mittens.

Mom, bought this bag of fluff for me the week after Christmas last year. I had stored it in the basement.
Here are some of my creations . . . The lamb is made out of a pair of Joel's socks. I used a pair of gloves that I wore last winter (they had a hole in one of the fingers) for the bear. The monkey is made out of a pair of socks that I received from Joel for my birthday last year, which I wore up to the day that I donated them to this project. The bunny is made from gloves that John bought and gave me with the book.

This horse is made from a pair of socks that I gave Joel the year before we were married. He wore them and after they shrunk in the drier (after we were married) I wore them. These socks have been around for a long time!

I used a pair of wool socks, for this cute pup, that the kids had in their dresser but never wore. "They are too itchy, Momma!"
Note: I only say this because I know Josh will be proud . . . I made 8 animals for 8 Tate kids and spent no money at all.
