Verbal Explosion!
Obadiah has been in school now for two and a half weeks and I like the results. He seems happier and his verbal skills are improving. Yesterday, I was buckling him into his carseat and I said, "Obadiah, I love you!" and he looked at me and said VERY clearly, "Momma, I love you too!" That was the first time that I heard those words from his mouth.
This was our conversation at Kamuda's ( a local grocer) yesterday:
We were in the baking aisle.
Obie: "Momma, is this brownie mix?"
Me: "No, that is cake mix."
Obadiah:" Oh. Where is the brownie mix?"
Me: "The brownie mix is up here."
Obie: "Oh, so that is where they keep the brownie mix."
I know to some that this may seem like a typical conversation for a mother with a 4 year old but in actuality, it was one of my first conversations with my son. I was amazed at how complete his sentences were and how clearly spoken they were. Praise God!

Life: A List of Current Happenings . . .
Canning. We have been canning (relish, pickles, salsa, & beans) non stop it seems and there are days when I don't see the end to this madness.
Debt. We are out of debt. We give God the glory for helping us achieve this goal. Our plan now is to live in such a way that we can stay debt less.
School. Obadiah starts school on 9/1 and he is quite excited. Until then I will have to answer the question, "Me start school today?" at least 3 times a day. I start teaching on 9/2 but I start all day workshops and training this Thursday. The girls will begin another year of homeschooling next week as well, however, they are currently busy with 4H and preparing for the VT State Fair.
Joel. Joel begins his normal schedule at Barstow tomorrow. I wish you all could have heard him preach at Camp Washington. He is indeed a prophet. Joel also has begun to write again and this makes me smile.
Church. We have been at a simmer for awhile now and I believe the Holy Spirit is turning up the heat. Watch out VT!
