Obadiah the Dragon!

Grandma Tate came by today to take Obie & Lucy out for the day and on her way here she stopped at a yard sale and picked up this dragon costume for Obie. He had to try it on right away!

Sad dragon . . .

Joel & Christine's "Great Escape"

Here we are on our date at The Great Escape waiting . . .
. . . waiting for this ride, the Boomarang!
Here is a better picture of it but not all of the coaster is in it. After this ride our bellies were queasy and we amused ourselves for the rest of the day with "whimpy" rides, food and a diving show.
Here we are with our chocolate frozen bananas. Yummy!

This is the best show on earth. Hands Down!

Happy Birthday, Joel . . . again!

Joel's birthday fell on the last day of Kid's Camp so we never properly celebrated it. Today, starting at 1:00, the girls and I decided to throw him a party. We ran out to Big Lots and Hannaford and returned within an hour and a half with all the fixins for a party. We had tacos for dinner, Elisabeth made brownies for dessert and we gave him a few gifts. Soon after, Joel & Lucy were off to prayer meeting, Obie went to bed, and the girls and I are watching the Olympics.

Obadiah!

I was taking pictures of our much lived-in home with a future blogspot post in mind when I took this picture. I knew Obie was on the steps when I took this but I hadn't realized what was in his hands.
Then I took this pic of Zoe who was dressed as a princess not noticing what Obie was doing when he snuck in the frame.
Then while I was taking this pic of the girls, Obie backed his way slowly into the frame, as I snapped the camera, I realized what he was carrying!

A list of items that I took from Obadiah today:

A box of light bulbs

A lightbulb

An axe

An electric drill

Bins of chocolate chips (yes, multiple bins)

A yard stick

Poop (He stuck his hand in his diaper then pulled it out with a treasure in it)

All in one day!

Wipe Out!

The prophets taking a bath. I thought this would be a good picture to put on their dorm room in college. The girls will oooo and ahhh over it.
All summer the Elliott kids have been coming over on Tuesday nights and watching Wipe Out with us. Tonight, the Woods joined us. I was surprised that we all fit in our small "den." Let's just say it was loud and hot.

Summer Jubilee

Grace lost a front tooth today. It is in the baggie. It wasn't ready to come out however, and there was a lot of drama & blood involved. She was playing with Obie and somehow hit her mouth on his head and the tooth just flew out. He apparently has a hard head.
Lucy wanted her picture taken with this lovely piece of art work.
Elisabeth is saying "Hi". I think she looks like Joel.

Beautiful Grace with one less tooth. This is what Obie is wearing today. It is 1:30 and he still has his pajamas on. He is wearing Elisabeth's soccer shirt over his pj's. Eversince that shirt came into our home he has claimed it as his. He was quite amused when Grace's tooth flew out of her mouth. I think it was his plan all along.
