Barstow Sap Run

Elisabeth, Caleb, and Sarah ran a 1 mile race this morning at Barstow. It was a terrible day for a race. It was cold and rainy. The kids did an excellent job. Out of fifty kids, Sarah came in 18th, Elisabeth at 19th and Caleb at 22th. Elisabeth and Sarah sprinted and competed for the 18th spot. It was fun watching them race against each other. It was close!
Elisabeth ran a mile in 11 minutes and 9 seconds! Good job, Elisabeth!

Wet pavement!!! I like to see it. It's the small things I miss about the 802. Wet pavement. Can you hear peepers as you read this?

We can't hear them, Josh, because the windows are all closed. We have the fire going. The pavement's wet. The garden's wet. The lawn toys are wet. The bicycles are wet. Everything is wet and cold.
Oh, Idyllwild! You have no idea.

And Lydia is absolutely right. I expect I'll be going out to Houghton to see meets about ten years from now.

That time is better than some people I know in the Navy.

Well done Elisabeth! I'm very proud of you! Toccoa Falls could use a speedy recruit as well. . .
